BeST comments on priority products under ESPR

In the frame of the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), the European Commission has identified a tentative list of category products to be targeted with priority, including non-ferrous metals as intermediates.


BeST has submitted comments on the list highlighting:

  • The need for socio-economic impact assessments

  • The link between raw materials and durability of products

  • The importance of risk based approach vs hazard

  • The need to avoid a 'one-size' fits all approach

  • The importance of support industry
